With some trepidation, I submit this post. Ok, so I woke this morning realizing that my thoughts and experiences won’t easily distill into one blog. For your reading pleasure and to provide focused value to my future sponsors, I have decided to spread my words over four separate, focused conversations as follows:

  • Stardust Localizing – riding the localization wave in the bay covers the localization movement in the Bay area and localization in general as a key organizing principle for the conscious evolution of our economy. It will highlight interesting localization initiatives and profile people and organizations as appropriate. Wacky Globalization Stories will be regular feature. This conversation is directed towards anyone who is interested in following the localization scene in the Bay Area, including policy makers, local businesses, nonprofits, and the public.
  • Energy Preparedness – managing energy price and supply uncertainty covers approaches and initiatives to prepare for energy price volatility and supply disruptions. It will highlight inconvenient milestones in oil supply and climate change, as well as other important signals. The Price is Right? will be a regular feature on the price of oil and other commodities. This conversation is directed towards policy makers, businesses, nonprofits, and professionals.
  • Sleepin’ Wit Da Enemy – musings about my conscious evolution covers the trials and travails of becoming an eco-warrior of color living in the belly of the beast. It will highlight ways that I am transitioning to have a lighter footprint on our Mama Earth, memes worth spreading, and the bay area eco-social scene. Crazy Consumer Stories will be a regular feature. This conversation is directed towards folks that want to bring more ecological balance and social equity into their lives.
  • Channeling Hubbert – deciphering our energy past, present, and future covers the work we are doing at the Hubbert Tribute to figure out how we got where we are now with respect to energy and how we can use this information to develop a much more responsible energy policy in the United States.

While it may mean that I have do a bit more writing, it will not be three times as much. This organization will ultimately make it easier for you to participate in conversations that you find engaging.
